Professor Susannah Howe joined the Picker Engineering Program at Smith College in 2003 to develop the Engineering Design Clinic, the year-long capstone design course for engineering seniors.  Her background is in structural engineering, with an undergraduate degree from Princeton and graduate degrees from Cornell.  Prior to coming to Smith, she worked and taught at Cornell and the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.  Susannah is particularly interested in encouraging interdisciplinary entrepreneurial efforts and promoting entrepreneurial vision throughout engineering and the liberal arts.
