As the Director of Bay Path’s college-wide Entrepreneurial Program, Lauren J. Way plans and directs annual events for business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs that are designed to stimulate economic growth in our region.  She teaches innovative undergraduate classes in entrepreneurship and cooperative education that build bridges with the regional business community by pairing up students to work alongside local entrepreneurs and engage in hands-on problem-solving.

Lauren currently manages the “Innovators Round Table,” a board made up of successful entrepreneurs and business owners in the region who advise the college on new programs in business and entrepreneurship, and donate time and resources to student development and faculty productivity.  Lauren is the faculty advisor to the College’s student “CEO Club,” and in the past nine years her work has directly contributed to the start-up and growth of over twenty new businesses launched by students and former students.

Lauren was recently recognized in San Antonio, Texas, for her winning pedagogical submission to the National 3-E Experiential Teaching Contest in Entrepreneurship Education. Lauren’s work extends to economically-disadvantaged high school students, for whom she has launched a new summer program in entrepreneurship. She currently manages a national grant from the Coleman Foundation.

Lauren has a B.A from Smith College in Northampton, MA, an M.Ed. in Educational Policy, Research, and Administration from the University Massachusetts at Amherst, and is completing work on a doctoral degree in Higher Educational Policy and Leadership at the University Massachusetts, Amherst.
